It’s Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat month, and in honor of the wonderful rescue cats out there, we’re introducing you to felines-in-waiting all throughout June. Today, we’d like you to meet Everdeen, a 2-year-old cat living at the Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter in Billings, Montana.
Everdeen is gorgeous – and she knows it! Therefore, she’s happy to have you brush her to keep her looking pretty. The kitty isn’t an over-the-top diva, though – she “prefers to take the Zen approach to life,” says activities coordinator Melissa Anderson. “She will take a interest in anything you’re doing but is perfectly happy hanging out and supervising the activities of the household.”
This 16-lb. feline is so interested with the activity in the shelter’s office that she’s happy to paw-ticipate by being a paperweight. She “is wonderful at playing with toys on our desks or proofreading our documents while she lays on our computer keyboards,” Anderson adds. “Everdeen would be happiest in an active home where she can lounge and observe at her leisure.”
Great with other cats and dogs, Everdeen would be the perfect addition to a household with other animals. She is also unfazed by children. If you think she’s the cat for you, contact the shelter at 406-294-7387.
