Half her size? Gloria is waiting for the day when she reaches that goal.
This 4-year-old Kelpie (a type of Australian sheepdog) once weighed 77 lbs., which is more than 33 lbs. over her ideal weight. As luck would have it, she ended up at England’s Australian Working Dog Rescue, an organization that had recently received an offer from fitness trainer Julia Hoffman to donate workout sessions for humans.
“But when I heard about Gloria, I signed her up and hope to get her down from what is basically twice her ideal weight,” Hoffman says. “I thought I could do more by helping Gloria get fit so she looks more adoptable.”
Since then, Gloria has been participating in Hoffman’s fitness boot camp, taking walks, running through obstacle courses and working with her very own doggie dumbbell.
Once she hits her ideal weight, Gloria will be fit to find her forever home. Being a big loser? Gloria will take it!
