The magic seems to be gone for Harry Potter stars Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower, who have called off their engagement, PEOPLE has learned.
Wright, 21, who portrayed Harry Potter’s true love Ginny Weasley in the smash saga, and Bower, 23, who joined the cast for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, became engaged in April 2010 after a whirlwind romance that began in 2009 when they met at a party.
“It’s great,” Wright last told PEOPLE of their relationship in 2010.
But a source tells PEOPLE, “They split a while ago and it was amicable. Things had not been good with them for a really long time.”
Following news of the split, Bower – who is perhaps better associated with his Twilight alter ego vampire Caius – was spotted holding hands with his Mortal Instruments costar Lily Collins, who was last linked to Zac Efron.
