Since getting booted off American Idol, Chris Daughtry has been anything but idle. We caught up with the singer at L.A. radio station KROQ’s Weenie Roast concert in Irvine, Calif., where he rocked out in the audience at Rob Zombie’s show and snapped pictures with fans backstage. “This is amazing,” he told us. “You go on American Idol and you always wonder if you’re gonna get rock credibility and to have that – I couldn’t ask for more.”
As for his future, Daughtry is still considering an offer to front alt-rock band Fuel. “They re good friends of mine and right now I’m just thinking everything through and making sure that I make the right decision for me and my family,” he said. “Those things take time.”
John Stamos: Tongue Twisted
Spouting all those complicated terms on ER has John Stamos a little nervous. “I can’t say any of them,” the actor – who’s joining the show’s cast this fall – told us at Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 party at New York City’s Buddha Bar. “I’m trying to talk them into letting me be a guy who cheated in school who can’t say the words right, but they didn’t go for it.”
Other celebrities making the scene at the bash: Lindsay Lohan, Marcia Cross, Benjamin McKenzie and Christina Milian, who’s No. 10 on the list. The singer-actress showed up with the new man in her life: music producer Andre Lyon. “He’s so supportive – full of compliments,” she said. “He shows up and surprises me. He makes me smile.”
Caught in the Act
Jamie-Lynn Sigler, snuggling with boyfriend Scott Sartiano at the Lucky magazine gift suite at New York City’s Ritz Carlton. After shopping there for 30 minutes, she was presented with a white cake with yellow flowers for her 25th birthday. And Sigler “got extra swag because it was her birthday,” says a source, including a $1,900 Lia Sophia necklace and Genetic Denim jeans. Later, the actress, her beau and pals Lance Bass and Shannon Elizabeth headed to Sartiano’s club Butter to continue the festivities.
Hugh Jackman, dining at Mexico City restaurant La Terraza at Hotel Condesa DF. The X-Men: Final Stand star – who feasted on duck breast with mole sauce, guacamole with fried beet chips and coconut flan – “shook hands with all the personnel at the restaurant and didn’t ask for any special treatment,” says a source.
